[Inesa watches as Llewellyn's head pops out of the door to retrieve the package. It's then that she's slowly making her way back to her shop, this time moving in a way that makes it difficult to tell that she's walking. Her focus in on her path but also on Llewellyn, watching his expression and words shift as he opens the gift.
It's been only a few days since she's gotten Llewellyn's gift and sent her thanks but that had been enough time to finish as well as alter her gift to Llewellyn. His had been the first one that she'd work on.]
I'm glad. It's from the collection you had inspired during your visit. Do you remember? I have been altering it some since but I am happy that you like how it turned out.
[She smiles, a light blush coloring her cheeks.]
I'm not sure I would have come up with the idea without you.
The jacket for Pretzel actually matches one that Lancelot has. I'm really glad that you like them. [It's a relief to know that he's happy for the gift.]
As for the holidays, I think Rhy will be free. I won't let him work at the shop. So don't worry.
[He certainly couldn’t have known it was the first gift she’d worked on, but considering the short amount of time since he gave her the bouquet? It gave him some idea of how much work she had put into the gift. That much detail, the inclusion of the very flowers he’d gifted, it seemed like so much to him in those few days between.
Why she would put so much effort into something for him, of all people, is still very confusing... And it seemed like so much more than the flowers he’d given to her. He would remember this, certainly, for the next opportunity to give someone a gift.
Clearing his throat a little awkwardly, he smiled as he slipped off his current vest to try this one on as he answered her.]
I do remember, I really enjoyed getting to help you with it. It um— inspired me to try sharing my interest in flowers a little more. So in a way, you inspired me as well? The bouquets, the meanings behind them, it was nice to be able to share. Uh— one didn’t go nearly so well, but I’ve learned better.
[He added with a small wince, accidentally almost breaking up with his boyfriend. Only he could pull that off.
Marvelling at how the vest fit, Llewellyn smiled as he spoke up again.]
This fits perfectly? I’ve been wanting to try new fashion, to uh— update my wardrobe. This will make an excellent starting point, I could hardly bring myself to cover the back with my old suit jacket.
[Turning his attention back to the jacket for Pretzel, he felt a small amused smile crossing his face as he crouched to try putting it on the pup. Inesa might hear some fussing, as the puppy wriggled and barked a little because clearly something weird was afoot! clothes were a new concept! How strange!]
They’ll match nicely, then. He fits it well too, thank you. He’s quite excited by it... I think.
[The statement that she wouldn’t be allowing Rhy to work over the holidays softens his tone, that was sweet of her.]
Ah... That’s very kind of you. If he seeks to though, I wouldn’t discourage him. I Um... I want him to be happy after all, and he does love learning from you. He’s always so proud of his progress. But I look forward to spending what time I can with him. Thank you, Inesa.
I think that's what friends are supposed to do. That is, inspire each other.
